Sandra is an Attorney-at-Law and the Head of the Compliance & Reporting Services for Mourant Governance Services in the Cayman Islands.  In this role Sandra provides AML and AEOI Reporting as well as Compliance Officer services to Cayman Islands entities.

Sandra was previously legal counsel with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority before joining Walkers Global Law Firm.  While at Walkers she held numerous positions including Head of Compliance with responsibility for the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands and Bermuda offices.   She also advised clients in her role as a regulatory lawyer and was instrumental in the set up and launch of the AML Officer services business line.

Sandra has a wealth of knowledge and practical experience from all aspects of the AML/Compliance function.

She is the immediate past president of the Cayman Islands Compliance Association, chair of the AML Steering Group of the Cayman Islands Legal Practitioners Association, member and former chair of the Caribbean Regional Compliance Association. She was the legal assessor for the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force - British Virgin Islands Third Round Mutual Evaluation. Sandra also guest lectures on AML at the Truman Bodden Law School and sits on various working groups representing the Compliance Association.

Paula Ferguson was appointed to the role of Senior Manager, Compliance & AML/ATF for Scotiabank and Trust (Cayman) Limited in May 2022. She was subsequently appointed by the Board of Directors and approved by the regulator for the following statutory roles:

• Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (AMLCO) Scotiabank and Trust (Cayman) Limited, The Scotiabank Mutual Funds & Scotia Securities (Asia) Limited
• Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for Scotia Securities Asia Limited (SSAL)

Paula currently leads the Cayman Compliance team and provides oversight and supervision of the Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Program, which includes the management of all AML and compliance related risks. Chief among her responsibilities is the development and implementation of the unit’s strategic initiatives in tandem with the global compliance program objectives as well as regulatory obligations. She is a seasoned compliance and risk management professional with over 23 years’ experience in the financial services sector where she held several leadership roles and developed and implemented regulatory compliance and AML strategies. Her previous experience includes Group Chief Compliance and Risk Officer with Jamaica National Group and Director/Senior Examiner-In-Charge with the Jamaican financial services industry regulator (Bank of Jamaica). Paula holds a BSc Accounting (Hons) and MSc Accounting (Dist.) from the University of West Indies (Mona). She is a Chartered Accountant (FCCA) & a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).

Carrie Gilson serves as the Director of Financial Intelligence & Analytics and Senior Vice President at U.S. Bank since December 2021. Previously, Carrie held the position of Director of Financial Crimes Modeling & Analytics and Senior Vice President at KeyBank from March 2015 to December 2021, where responsibilities included enhancing the AML monitoring program and developing analytical methodologies. Prior to that, Carrie spent over a decade at JPMorgan Chase, progressing through various roles such as Executive Director, Head of Global Coverage Strategy for AML, and Vice President roles focused on quantitative analytics and transaction monitoring. Carrie earned an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a BS from Miami University, both reflecting a strong foundation in decision sciences and analytical consulting.

Brian Grant is the Global Head of Sanctions Compliance for the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), one of the world's largest and most diversified financial groups, with responsibility for sanctions risk management and internal controls across the global enterprise. Mr. Grant’s other industry experience includes heading Citigroup’s OFAC Compliance and Enterprise Risk function and serving as a leader in Ernst & Young’s AML practice area. Prior to joining industry, he held a number of positions in the US Department of the Treasury, including as a Compliance Officer in the Office of Foreign Assets Control; a Financial Attaché in the Middle East region and, most recently, as Director of the Office of Global Affairs and member of the Senior Executive Service. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.

Justyna Gudzowska has spent her career combating financial crime. She is currently the Executive Director of The Sentry, an investigative and policy organization that seeks to disable multinational predatory networks that benefit from violent conflict, repression, and kleptocracy.  She is also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, a visiting lecturer in law at Yale Law School, and an associate fellow at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI). Previously, Justyna was the lead sanctions attorney at Morgan Stanley, overseeing the implementation of sanctions for the bank’s offices across the globe and its more than 60,000 employees.

From 2013-2018, Justyna worked for the United Nations as part of an expert team advising the Security Council on countering global terrorist groups, in particular ISIS and Al-Qaida, and devised innovative means to combat terrorist financing. Before serving at the UN, she was a legal advisor to the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where she advised on the full spectrum of economic sanctions issues. Earlier in her career, she worked as an associate at the international law firms Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton and at Debevoise & Plimpton. Justyna received her JD from Yale Law School, where she served as Development Editor for the Yale Journal of International Law and was a student director of the Schell Center for International Human Rights. She holds master’s degrees from the University of Cambridge and the London School of Economics, where she was a Marshall Scholar, and a B.A. from Rice University.

Jenni Halleran is the Deputy BSA Officer and Head of Financial Crimes Investigations at First Citizens Bank and Silicon Valley Bank. In this role, Jenni oversees all financial crimes investigative and operational functions, and spearheads the development and modernization of financial crimes risk management approaches across the enterprise.

Jenni is especially passionate about the importance of building stellar working relationships with key stakeholders, and creating organizational cultures that consistently produce high-performing and highly engaged teams.

Prior to joining First Citizens Bank and Silicon Valley Bank, Jenni held various roles at American Express, where she drove initiatives such as financial crimes training, led large teams of investigators, and initially, investigated financial crimes herself. Jenni holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Idaho and a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Society, and Justice from the University of Washington

Dulce Jerez is the BSA/AML Lead Expert (LE) for three Regions (East, Southeast, and Northeast) within the Risk, Resource, & Examiner Development (RRED) Division since June 2020.  As Lead Expert, she promotes compliance with RRED’s policies and initiatives, applies consistent treatment for BSA/AML and OFAC supervisory findings, and identify risks impacting the Regions. In addition, as BSA LE, she identifies specific training needs of examiners, provides input on examiner training projects, and assists in developing examiner training materials.

She belongs to the BSA Instructor Cadre of the OCC and teaches in the domestic and international schools.

Dulce joined the OCC in 2012 as BSA Specialist, she conducted BSA examinations that included BSA/AML laws and regulations, and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations. She led High complex BSA Exams for Large Banks Supervision (LBS) and Midsize and Community Banks Supervision (MCBS).  Prior joining the OCC, she worked as BSA Officer at International Banks in Miami, FL. for over eighteen years.

Dulce was a professor for eleven years at her Alma Matter Pontificia Universidad Madre y Maestra in Dominican Republic. She holds a master’s degree in business administration, Global Management; a bachelor’s degree in Science (Math and Physics), and a bachelor’s degree in Counseling. She is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and a Certified Associate in Anti-Money Laundering from the Florida International University (FIU). She is also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Specialist (ACFE).

Alison K. Jimenez is President of Dynamic Securities Analytics, Inc. where she utilizes her extensive background in the financial industry to consult and provide expert witness testimony on complex matters involving financial crime, fraud, and Anti-Money Laundering (‘AML’). Ms. Jimenez’s expertise in illicit finance has been sought out by federal and international agencies including DOJ, DOD, DHS, and the United Nations.

Ms. Jimenez has been retained as a testifying expert in federal and state courts, domestic and international arbitration, and criminal and regulatory enforcement actions on a variety of financial crime issues including corruption, business email compromise, cryptocurrency scams, and Ponzi schemes.

Alison has published original research on financial crime topics including cryptocurrency crime, human smuggling, and Suspicious Activity Reports. The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, American Banker, and government agencies have cited Alison’s research.

Ms. Jimenez frequently presents on AML and fraud issues at national and international conferences including at Interpol, the World Bank, and the North American Securities Administrators Association. In addition, Alison testified before the House Financial Services subcommittee on Digital Assets on the use of cryptocurrency in illicit activity.

Alison serves on the Irregular Warfare Center- Defense of the Homeland and Counter Threat Finance working groups and previously served as a member of U.S. Special Operations Command- Working Group on Counter Threat Finance. Alison also serves on the Fraudulent Virtual Assets Services working group of the Global Coalition to Fight Financial Crime. Ms. Jimenez previously served on the Education and Examination Task Forces for the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS).

Prior to this role, Alison worked at a large financial services firm and was a securities regulator. Ms. Jimenez holds a master’s degree in economics and is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist.

Mr. Keniel Ledgister brings nearly 20 years of specialized experience in financial crime enforcement to his role as an Attaché. With a strong background in accounting and finance and two decades as a Special Agent with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, IRS Criminal Investigation (CI), he has led complex investigations involving money laundering, tax evasion, refund fraud schemes, and other financial crimes. 

Mr. Ledgister has served on multiple interagency task forces—covering counterterrorism, counterintelligence, and organized crime—where he strengthened his expertise in coordinating and executing sophisticated financial investigations. As a Supervisory Special Agent, he led investigative teams, oversaw undercover operations, and provided strategic direction in combating financial fraud. He also delivers training in cryptocurrency and digital assets, enhancing CI’s efforts to address emerging threats. 

In his current role as an Attaché, Mr. Ledgister covers a broad portfolio across the Caribbean region, serving as a liaison between IRS Criminal Investigation and international law-enforcement partners. He supports cross-border financial investigations, works closely with Financial Intelligence Units and White-Collar Crime divisions, and leads outreach and training initiatives that bolster international cooperation in fighting financial crime.

David Y. Lee is the Global Head of Sanctions and Interdictions Strategy at Western Union where he is responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of the Global Sanctions Compliance Program and management of Western Union’s internal compliance block list. Until December 2025, David was the Global Head of Sanctions and Screening at Payoneer to transform its screening architecture. From 2022 to 2024, David was at Circle Internet Financial as Global Head of Sanctions to design and implement a hybrid fiat-crypto sanctions program and run its Risk, Regulatory & Compliance Committee.

Prior to Circle, David served nearly two decades at the U.S. State Department, the White House, and the U.S. Commerce Department as a national security and Asia expert. From 2018 to 2021, David was the Deputy Political Counselor at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations managing all UN sanctions, counterterrorism, and nonproliferation issues in the UN Security Council. Before that, David was lead U.S. negotiator for North Korea sanctions (2016 to 2018) and ISIS/AQ/Taliban sanctions and global counterterrorism efforts (2014 to 2016).

Before the UN, David spent six years at the White House where he served in the National Security Council as Director for Nonproliferation Policy and the Office of Management and Budget as a senior political-military analyst after starting his career at the Commerce Department to review U.S. export controls and trade promotion to China and Brazil.

David obtained his B.S. in Business Administration with a 2nd major in History & Policy and an M.S. in Public Policy & Management from Carnegie Mellon University.

Dr. David Maimon serves as the Head of Fraud Insights at SentiLink, where he plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between upstream fraud signals found in the online fraud ecosystem and downstream fraud signals received by SentiLink partners. Leveraging his extensive background in cybercrime, investigation, and fraud prevention, Dr. Maimon brings valuable experience to his position. Before joining SentiLink, Dr. Maimon held the position of Principal Product Manager and Special Advisor at GeoComply, as well as the role of Chief Science Officer at Vidocq Group. Currently, he is also a Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Georgia State University (GSU) and serves as the director of the Evidence-Based Cybersecurity Research Group. Recognized for his outstanding contributions, Dr. Maimon received the "Young Scholar Award" from the White-Collar Crime Research Consortium of the National White-Collar Crime Center in 2015 for his noteworthy cybercrime research. In 2023, he was honored with the "Educator of the Year" award from the Houston Chapter of The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Throughout his career, Dr. Maimon has published books and scientific articles, and successfully secured over $6 million in funding to conduct Evidence-Based Cybersecurity research, further solidifying his impact in the field.

Scott McCleskey is the Senior Manager, Anti-Financial Crime Instruction and Subject Matter Expertise at ACAMS. He has over thirty years of front-line experience training financial crime and compliance teams, as well as leading compliance functions in the U.S. and Europe. Scott has personally trained numerous compliance professionals in financial institutions, Financial Intelligence Units and other government agencies around the world. In addition to his training roles, Scott has served as a global Chief Compliance Officer, Head of Regulatory Intelligence, and Subject Matter Expert and has conducted numerous investigations as an FBI agent and regulator. Scott is a published author on financial services regulation and holds a Master's degree in International Relations from Cambridge.

Scott Nathan joined TD as Managing Director, Global Head of FCRM Detection, Coverage, and Capabilities.   In this role, Scott supports the development of a data-driven technology ecosystem to effectively detect, manage, and mitigate financial crime risk on an enterprise basis.  Scott brings over 20-years of experience across the financial services sector covering a unique combination of risk management, government, and data science capabilities.  Capitalizing on TD's recent progress in its Azure Cloud migration milestone, Scott is developing an innovative AML Data Cloud leveraging a single, 360-degree client view supporting not only AML with a holistic understanding of client and counterparty risk, but also by providing our business partners with the intelligence necessary to support the future of safe banking.

Prior to TD, Scott was the Global Head of Financial Crime Detection and Customer Insights at Citigroup. In this capacity, Scott led a unique team of data science professionals, money laundering risk analysts, and intelligence specialists leveraging contextual driven insights to understand customer behavior and ensure Citi was effectively detecting financial crime across its global footprint including over 90 countries and five connected lines of business. Leveraging advanced technology platforms and machine learning techniques, Scott and his teams created a 360-degree view of clients across over 400 source systems and billions of rows of external data helping Citi actively manage risk across a dynamically evolving feature space.

Prior to Citi, Scott was a Managing Director and Head of AML Technology and Innovation for Global Compliance at State Street. In this role, he was responsible for developing the transformational AML transaction monitoring platform, which leveraged next generation technology to derive intelligence from data to support clients and protect the global economy from abuse.

Prior to his work at State Street, Scott was a Managing Director, Head of Financial Intelligence at Accenture.  In this role he engineered the first of its kind 'AML as a Service' business thought a partnership with leading technology companies including Microsoft, Snowflake, and AWS.  He has also held various leadership roles at Deloitte and Bank of America where he engineered programs helping reduce the cost of compliance, strengthen relationships with regulatory agencies, and better support the end-user intelligence community to protect national security.

Priyank Patel currently serves as the Financial Crimes Risk Surveillance Director at KeyBank. He is part of the second-line financial crimes governance team of compliance and is responsible for BSA/AML and OFAC risk surveillance, analytics, and controls assessments. He has 14+ years of experience in banking and financial crime. Before joining KeyBank, Priyank worked for First Niagara, where he played an instrumental role in setting up the bank's BSA/AML, OFAC, and Fraud program. Priyank holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication, an MBA in Marketing, an MS in Finance, and a Graduate Diploma in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. He is a member of the ACAMS, a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), and a Certified Financial Crimes Specialist (CFCS).

Tyler Reynolds is the Executive Vice President, Enterprise Financial Crimes Compliance, Chief BSA/AML Officer. He directs strategy and oversight of the enterprise financial crimes program including the financial intelligence unit, AML & external fraud investigations, currency transaction reporting, customer due diligence operations, risk management, economic sanctions & customer screening, and enterprise financial crimes strategic initiatives.

Prior to joining U.S. Bank in 2015, Reynolds spent 15 years at large financial institutions working in various national and global leadership roles related to financial crimes compliance, consumer compliance, operational risk, risk program development, and project management.

He lives in Charlotte, NC, holds Six Sigma and ACAMs certifications, and is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University.

Paul Rooney has served as a Special Agent with the federal government since 2010, bringing extensive expertise in financial investigations and transnational crime. He is currently the acting Group Supervisor of a Financial Crimes group within the New York Field Office of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), which is part of the newly formed Homeland Security Task Force. Prior to joining HSI in 2015, Special Agent Rooney served for approximately six years with the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation Division (IRS-CI). While at IRS-CI, he was assigned to the International Financial Fraud Task Force in New York, where he focused on money laundering and tax evasion investigations involving offshore banks and foreign entities.

At HSI, Special Agent Rooney was assigned to the New York El Dorado Task Force, concentrating on international money laundering, complex financial fraud, securities fraud, and transnational organized crime investigations. He is also a member of the HSI New York Crisis Negotiation Team and has completed crisis negotiation certifications from both HSI and the FBI. Throughout his career, Special Agent Rooney has served as the lead case agent on numerous high-profile financial investigations, including the Panama Papers investigation, the Wegelin Bank investigation, several Priority Transnational Organized Crime (PTOC) cases, and multiple COVID-19 pandemic relief fraud investigations.

Before entering federal service, Special Agent Rooney spent nearly a decade in the finance industry, working at JPMorgan, Citibank, Rabobank, and Merrill Lynch. During his tenure in the private sector, he earned both the Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses.  Special Agent Rooney holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from the University of Maryland. He also earned a master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), with concentrations in finance and accounting, from Fordham University.

Nick is HSBC’s US Head of Financial Crime Strategy & Framework, where he oversees HSBC’s external engagement and public-private partnership efforts in the US, amongst other responsibilities. He is also a US Army Reserve officer with multiple overseas deployments and serves as a leader for HSBC’s Employee Resource Group for veterans.

Before joining HSBC in 2015, Nick spent nearly seven years with the US Treasury’s Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, where he supported the development of targeted financial measures against national security threats with a focus on Latin America and the Caribbean. While at Treasury, he served as the Senior US Treasury Representative to US Southern Command (Southcom) in Miami, FL where he helped establish their Counter-Threat Finance Branch.

He earned his MBA and BA (History) from the University of Florida, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from Florida International University. He is CAMS certified, served as co-chair of the ACAMS South Florida Chapter (2022 – 2024), and was honored as the 2023 ACAMS AFC Professional of the Year.

Misheca Seymour Senior is the Group Chief Compliance Officer of NCB Financial Group (NCBFG), a leading financial services conglomerate operating in over 20 Caribbean territories and the parent company of the National Commercial Bank of Jamaica (NCB). With over 20 years of extensive experience in anti-money laundering and counter-financing of terrorism (AML/CFT), she leads the Group Regulatory and Financial Crimes Compliance Division, overseeing the development, implementation, and effectiveness of compliance programs that safeguard against financial crimes.

As a dedicated compliance practitioner, Misheca ensures that NCBFG maintains robust measures to combat money laundering and terrorist financing while adhering to all relevant regulations. Her expertise is backed by her legal training; as an attorney-at-law, she has previously held roles as Legal Counsel and Company Secretary within NCBFG and practiced as an associate at Myers, Fletcher & Gordon.

Misheca holds an LLB from the University of the West Indies and a Certificate of Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School. Additionally, she is a certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and Certified Global Sanctions Specialist. She actively contributes to the industry as co-chair of the Jamaica Bankers Association's Compliance Committee, demonstrating her commitment to excellence in compliance practices.

Jennifer Smith is the head of Services Sanctions, responsible for implementing the Sanctions Program across the Services businesses, including Payments, Trade & Working Capital Solutions, Securities Services, and Services Operations, and monitoring Services' adherence to the Sanctions Risk Appetite. She manages a global team specialized in providing credible challenge, guidance, and advice on sanctions-related matters to these businesses.

In her prior roles with ICRM Sanctions, Jennifer was responsible for implementing the Sanctions Program across Citi’s institutional businesses, and provided strategic direction to the Global Sanctions program, coordinated the implementation of new sanctions programs, established plans to mitigate emerging sanctions risks, and liaised with Citi business and Government Affairs on Sanctions public policies.

Prior to joining Sanctions, Jennifer served as the Director of Government Affairs for Citi Latin America, leading political engagement and advocacy efforts across 23 countries in the region. She was responsible for fostering relationships with government officials, assessing political and policy changes in LATAM, and executing strategies that protect and advance Citi’s interests. She also served as Chief of Staff for Global Government Affairs (GGA) and was the lead on Latin America and Africa policy issues for the team.  More broadly, she coordinated GGA’s portfolio of legislative issues and special projects, provided political analysis, managed team communications and financials, and liaised with key internal and external partners.

Jennifer began her Citi career in 2005 as a Management Associate and went on to support the execution of Citi's corporate mergers, acquisitions, and divestiture activities.

Jennifer graduated from the University of Florida with a master’s degree in International Business.  Her undergraduate degrees are in International Economics and Political Science.

As ACAMS CEO, Neil Sternthal is responsible for steering the organization's strategic direction and overseeing key initiatives that will shape ACAMS' long-term trajectory and impact across the anti-financial crime (AFC) community.

Neil has extensive experience in the legal and financial sectors, having served in various leadership roles at Thomson Reuters (NYSE: TRI) for nearly two decades. During his tenure, he led several key divisions with revenues of approximately $400M to nearly $1B. Most recently, he served as the Managing Director of its Global & Large Law Firms segment, achieving significant revenue growth since its 2018 inception which he created and led. His strategic foresight, innovation emphasis, customer-centric focus and exceptional execution have driven progressive strategies within Thomson Reuters global businesses.

Prior to that position, Neil held various leadership roles within Thomson Reuters. He has led global teams of approximately 1,500 professionals in functions spanning sales, marketing, editorial, product development, technology, talent and HR and finance.

Notably, Neil is a steward for diversity and inclusion, as he served as the Co-Chair of TR Equity Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Board.

Neil earned his bachelor’s degree in international relations with high distinction from the University of Toronto, Trinity College, a master’s degree in modern history from the University of Oxford, St. Antony’s College, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from McGill University, Faculty of Law.

Dan represents clients in state, federal and foreign regulatory enforcement actions, and provides assistance in establishing, maintaining and monitoring Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering (BSA/AML) compliance programs.

His regulatory and enforcement experience includes more than 30 years at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). As Deputy Chief Counsel from 2000-2016, Dan oversaw major OCC enforcement actions. He played a key role in significant BSA/AML rulemakings and policy issuances. While at the OCC, Dan supervised more than a dozen successful appeals. He was instrumental in bringing the first fair lending action taken by a federal banking agency against a bank and the first Unfair or Deceptive Acts or Practices action taken against a bank.

Dan has testified six times before Congress on enforcement and BSA/AML matters. He is a member of the advisory boards of ACAMS and the ABA/ABA Financial Crimes Enforcement Conference.

Samantha Sultoon is Senior Vice President and Senior Financial Crimes Director at Truist Financial Corporation where she oversees the global sanctions and screening program across the enterprise. Prior to joining Truist, Ms. Sultoon served as the Director for Threat Finance and Sanctions at the National Security Council (NSC) at the White House where she developed and coordinated the policymaking process for a range of economic statecraft and national security issues. Prior to her time at the White House, Ms. Sultoon served for over a decade in the U.S. Department of the Treasury, including as the OFAC lead on Treasury’s 2021 Sanctions Review where she developed and co-led implementation of the first-ever comprehensive review of U.S. sanctions strategy. Ms. Sultoon also held a variety of leadership roles within The Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), including Senior Advisor to the Director of OFAC, Section Chief for OFAC Enforcement, and Senior Sanctions Policy Advisor. Prior to her work at OFAC, Ms. Sultoon was an advisor in the Treasury Department’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis and a risk expert for the World Bank. Ms. Sultoon has an MSc with distinction from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London and a BA from the University of Michigan. She is a former Council on Foreign Relations International Affairs Fellow and a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She is also a non-resident senior fellow with the Atlantic Council’s GeoEconomics Center.

Craig Timm is the Senior Director of AML at ACAMS.

Prior to joining ACAMS, Craig had more than 15 years of anti-financial crime experience across the public and private sectors. At the Department of Justice, Craig served as a Deputy Chief in the Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Section (now Money Laundering and Asset Recovery Section) at headquarters in Washington, DC. In that role, he led a team of prosecutors responsible for enforcing criminal violations of the Bank Secrecy Act, U.S. economic sanctions, and money laundering laws committed by financial institutions and their employees. He led the prosecution of some of the largest financial institutions in the world including HSBC and BNP Paribas. Craig began his career with the Department of Justice as an Assistant United States Attorney in Arizona. At the Department of Justice, he was the recipient of numerous awards including the Attorney General’s Crime Victim’s Restoration Award, the Assistant Attorney General’s Award for Exceptional Service, and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director’s Meritorious Service Award.

At Bank of America, Craig was a Financial Crimes Executive responsible for Strategic Initiatives. These initiatives included participation in the Bank Secrecy Act Advisory Group, 314(b) information sharing initiatives, and the Wolfsberg Group as well as managing the day-to-day liaison with FinCEN, the U.S. Treasury, senior financial crimes policy officials at the OCC and Federal Reserve, key law enforcement agencies, and the U.S. Department of Justice. He also spent several years as the Financial Crimes Executive for the Global Wealth and Investment Management business lines where he served as the designated Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer for Merrill Lynch and U.S. Trust.

Craig has an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and a law degree from the Northwestern University School of Law.

Justine draws on a diverse global career, working across government, regulatory, private sector, and international organisations. As an expert on sanctions, counterterrorism, and financial crime she has held specialist positions within the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority, HM Treasury, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (Central Asia), the British Bankers’ Association, and UK Finance. In addition, Justine was formerly part of the UK delegation to the Financial Action Task Force, chaired the European Banking Federation’s Sanctions Expert Group, co-chaired the UK Joint Money Laundering Intelligence Taskforce’s counterterrorist financing group and served as an International Monetary Fund advisor to Nigeria. She has acted as an independent Syria sanctions-humanitarian expert to the United Nations, and previously served as a national expert on the financing of weapons of mass destruction (WMD)/counter proliferation financing matters. 
 
In her role within ACAMS, the world’s leading membership organization with a presence in over 180 jurisdictions, Justine oversees the subject-matter-expert division. A regular contributor to media publications covering financial-crime issues, she has addressed UN expert groupings, given evidence to parliamentary hearings, and authored numerous publications. Justine also holds a Ph.D. from the University of St. Andrews and an M.Sc. from the University of Edinburgh.

Lisa Wheeler joined JPMorgan Chase in 2012 and is currently the Global Head of AML for the Corporate and Investment Bank and the Commercial Bank. She is responsible for setting the strategic agenda for the business through the interpretation and implementation of the GFCC Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Customer processes and providing counsel and advice to executive level and senior leadership in those key lines of business. Lisa has directly supported Risk and Compliance since 2007 in both the corporate and financial services environments.

Prior to roles in Risk and Compliance, Lisa managed commodity price risk as a broker for 5 years for a large, global agriculture company. Prior to that, Lisa reported on commodities and financial markets in Brazil, France and New York for a financial news wire service. In those roles, Lisa used her French and Portuguese fluency to help customers better understand their market risk and supply and demand events.

She holds a Master of Business Administration from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Agricultural Economics and French from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She currently resides in Chicago, Illinois.
