Ty is the chief talent officer for RSM US LLP and is responsible for the design and execution of the firm’s talent strategy to develop an unrivaled and inclusive culture and experience for RSM employees and owners. 

Ty is passionate about people. As chief talent officer, he is driven to provide a workplace culture where every person at RSM is empowered to find their passion, build a rewarding career and bring their full selves to work. 

In this role, Ty leads RSM’s talent verticals under a unified talent strategy that enables the firm to attract and retain top talent to serve its clients today and into the future. His experience in strategy development and team alignment along with a focus on inclusion ensures an unrivaled and inclusive talent experience for all. 

Ty is energized by mentoring and creating opportunities for the next generation of talent within RSM. He appreciates being in a position to positively affect the lives of others and drive leadership programming to bring forth the talents of professionals at every stage of their career.

Previously, Ty served as North Texas market leader and talent leader for RSM’s consulting practice where he was responsible for local culture and growth and strategic priorities within the firm related to the development and delivery of leadership programming.

Ty excels in engaging with people, whether it’s with RSM talent or clients. He has more than 25 years of regulatory and advisory experience serving the financial services industry and financial institutions. As a risk consulting leader, he advised institutions on regulatory compliance, internal audit, information technology audits, cybersecurity consulting and anti-money laundering practices. He is a certified anti- money laundering specialist.

Known for his energetic spirit and positive attitude, Ty is an avid golfer and prefers to walk rather than ride a cart, and has traveled to Pamplona, Spain, to run with the bulls (although he says “never again”). Born and raised in New Orleans, Ty and his wife have a tradition that started when they began dating: attending New Orleans Saints games. They continue traveling around the country to support the team.

John is a partner at Otteson Shapiro LLP in Dallas, Texas. John has more than 30 years of regulatory agency, law firm and corporate experience. He has advised corporate boards, board committees, and management on federal and state banking laws and regulations and has served as primary liaison to federal banking regulators.

Mr. Podvin represented a former Senior Bank Secrecy Act Officer at a bank in a criminal investigation brought by the U.S. Department of Justice in the Southern District of New York and in the concurrent civil investigations brought by the OCC and the Federal Reserve Board as well as in the subsequent civil investigation brought by FinCEN. He has also represented both individuals and banks in investigations brought by the FBI, the U.S. Secret Service, the FDIC Inspector General’s Office, the FDIC, the OCC and the Texas Department of Banking.

During his corporate career with an NYSE-listed parent company to a $16 billion bank, he advised the board and management on compliance with applicable law, with specific emphasis on government relations,fair lending, insider lending, affiliate transactions, legal lending limits, anti-money laundering, privacy and ethics. In addition, he actively participated in the formulation and support of enterprise-wide policies and strategic initiatives. He supervised and coordinated investigations triggered by calls to the ethics hotline required by Sarbanes-Oxley. Finally, he coordinated and acted as primary liaison for all examinations with federal bank regulators.

As a partner with a leading financial services law firm, John assisted financial institutions with regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, enforcement actions and litigation. He also worked closely with financial institutions in developing new products and services, including electronic banking services, Internet services and other forms of information technology.

Linda is the Corporate Compliance and Market Conduct Manager at American Fidelity Assurance Company. She has been with American Fidelity Assurance Company since 1977 with over 25 years of that time spent in the field of compliance. In her role as Anti-money Laundering Compliance Officer, she coordinates the corporate-wide AML program, sanctions program, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. In addition, she manages agent licensing, assists with complaints and market conduct issues, and serves as an Investment Company and Variable Contract Products Principal for American Fidelity Securities, Inc. for agent registration and anti-money laundering. She is a member of ACAMS, and the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals, and the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.

Alicia is a Vice President within Capital City Bank as the BSA/OFAC Officer. In her role of BSA Officer, she is responsible for the BSA/AML program of the Bank and ensuring compliance with OFAC. She oversees the departments various operations from analyzing transaction alerts, to customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence. In addition to these duties, she coordinates with the regulatory examination process as well as Internal Audit. Prior to Capital City Bank, Alicia was employed with PlainsCapital Bank as the BSA/OFAC Officer.

Alicia received her undergraduate degree from Oklahoma State University and Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University. She became a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist in October 2014 and received the Certified AML and Fraud Processional designation in February 2017. Alicia completed the Texas Tech School of Banking program in August 2019.

Alicia’s personal interest including traveling, spending time with her two toy Australian shepherds and watching college sports.

Michelle has nearly twenty years of experience in compliance testing/internal audit working with consumer banking regulations as well as financial crimes compliance. She joined MUFG in April 2019 and currently serves as a Vice President in the Global Financial Crimes Compliance Testing organization. Michelle recently was a Financial Crimes Compliance Manager at Citigroup, where she led AML/KYC regulatory validations.

Michelle began her career as a Staff Auditor at Citizens Bank in Providence, Rhode Island. She has an advanced background in internal controls, compliance testing, issue validation, quality assurance, project management, and training. Michelle is CAMS and CGSS certified by ACAMS and CFE certified by the ACFE.

Kristi started her career with Oppenheimer Funds, initially within the retirement plans and broker-dealer functions, before moving into compliance. After nearly twenty years with Oppenheimer, she wanted to establish her career in compliance with a larger institution, gaining a broader breadth of experience. Kristi subsequently joined Western Union, where she spent five years, initially serving as the head of the global compliance program overseeing a team of 150 across various locations. She was then asked to rebuild global customer care operations, a newly created role to design and implement a new business strategy within call center operations.

Having completed the customer care program at Western Union, Kristi joined MoneyGram where she led and remediated the compliance functions covering AML and Fraud Prevention. She oversaw an AML function across 38 different countries for over three years, before moving into a new position within compliance overseeing a strategic compliance technology function. In this capacity, Kristi designed and led various projects specifically covering process improvement and automation, the establishment of a continuous monitoring strategy, and large-scale system implementations and integration.

Kristi left MoneyGram in 2018, and worked as an independent consultant at Skrill USA Inc., where she served through August 2019 as the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer. She has led large scale AML functions with two of the world’s largest payments providers, and more recently a payment FinTech organization prior to starting with Green Dot where she currently serves as the SVP, BSA/AML Officer role for both the Corporation and the Bank. Kristi also serves as the organizations Law Enforcement contact.

Kristi has served on the Board of Directors of ACAMS, North Texas Chapter since 2014, was a member of BSAAG – FinCEN Systems IT Systems Planning for the Future – Subcommittee Co-Chair in 2008/2009, had received a patent while working with Western Union for Real-Time Risk Assessment and had received a patent with MoneyGram for compliance processes. Kristi has served on the steering committee for the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC), and U.S. Financial Coalition Against Child Sexual Exploitation (FCACSE), and has served as a co-chair for the AML Team for the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators (IAFCI). Kristi previously held two FINRA licenses while employed with OppenheimerFunds.

James is the Regulatory Compliance Manager for American Fidelity Assurance Company. He is responsible for providing oversight and direction of the AML program and ensuring compliance with OFAC and FCPA related laws and regulations of multi-national financial institutions. In addition to these responsibilities, he coordinates the regulatory examination process and negotiates regulatory filings on behalf of the Corporation. Prior to joining American Fidelity, James served as Deputy Chief Examiner for the Oklahoma Insurance Department.

James received his undergraduate degree from Oklahoma City University and Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma Christian University. He is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and is currently on the Board of the North Texas chapter of ACAMS. Additionally, James is a Certified Financial Examiner and former State Chair of the Oklahoma Chapter of the Society of Financial Examiners.

Mrs. Shaye Martin is a Senior Manager at Wells Fargo in the Enterprise Testing & Validation group. She oversees the Financial Crimes, Fraud and Conduct Risk Control Testing team for Home Lending where she ensures regulatory compliance. Over the past 13 years, she has developed subject matter expertise in financial crimes and fraud across multiple financial institutions, money service businesses and client services. Shaye has significant experience working with High Risk clients and managing compliance programs. She has experience working with both consumer and commercial clients. Given the evolving state of financial crimes, Shaye brings enhanced knowledge, skills and expertise to the Anti-Money Laundering efforts she engages in.

Shaye is a Dallas native, born and raised. She attended Southern Methodist University graduating with her Bachelors in Economics. Shaye obtained her CAMS certification in 2015. She is recently a newlywed and dog mom to two Boxers and one high maintenance French Bull dog.

Michael is the Compliance Officer at Texas Security Bank in Dallas, TX. Michael has more than 10 years of AML/CFT experience at small to large financial institutions. 

His BSA/AML career in started at TransPecos Banks a small community bank with branches of Pecos, Alpine and Marathon located in West Texas. The corporate headquarters relocated to San Antonio, TX which provided an opportunity to join their team. From 2014-2020 he assisted the operations team and the BSA department with Fraud and BSA/AML. 

In 2020, he accepted the role of BSA Officer at Wallis Bank located in Houston, TX. This move afforded the opportunity to lead a team of thirteen talented BSA analysts & CTR specialists managing a large portfolio of Money Service Businesses (MSB) located in Texas, Georgia, and California.

The lessons learned and the experience gained at Wallis Bank really opened the doors to take on a new role as BSA Officer at Texas Security Bank in Dallas, TX. The future is wide open as he now supports the BSA/AML Officer as well as managing the compliance function of the Bank. He is very grateful to be of service to the overall AML/CFT community located in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
