Todd Brungard, CAMS is a Financial Crimes Senior Manager within the Crowe LLP Consulting Practice, primarily providing independent AML Audit, consent order validation and consulting services to financial institutions. In this role, he maintains extensive knowledge of bank compliance regulations including Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and sanctions compliance.

Todd has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has expertise in Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions Compliance, Fraud, Regulatory Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, IT and Internal Audit. Todd previously served as VP/BSA Officer at a New Jersey based community bank.

Special Agent Carlo Nastasi began his career with the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI) in 2008.  Prior to joining IRS-CI, Agent Nastasi was an Audit Senior at Deloitte and Touché and graduated from Pace University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting.   He is currently the lead agent on the SAR review team and is the liaison to the private banking industry.  His role includes leading high level money laundering and Bank Secrecy Act investigations and providing training to the BSA compliance industry.  Agent Nastasi was the Co-Lead Agent on the TD Bank investigation.

During his time with IRS-CI, Agent Nastasi worked various tax evasion, money laundering, and Bank Secrecy Act investigations relating to financial institutions, OCDETF, international tax, Securities Fraud, Ponzi Schemes, Political Corruption, and Mortgage Fraud.  Many of these investigations involved tracing funds globally including, fiat currency, crypto, foreign currency, TBML, and informal money transfer systems.  Agent Nastasi also served as a Task Force Officer with the Federal Bureau of Investigations assisting the white collar and political corruption divisions from 2011 to 2016.

Mark Stephan is a Senior Vice President and Chief Internal Auditor for Columbia Bank. He is responsible for overseeing and managing the Internal Audit function for the Bank. Mr. Stephan has over thirty years of experience in Banking, Public Accounting, Consulting, Mortgage Banking, and Healthcare. Prior to joining Columbia Bank, Mr. Stephan served as Senior Vice President and Internal Audit Director for a Community Bank in New Jersey. Other Positions include Chief Financial Officer for a Community Bank, Controller for a Mortgage Company, Regional Auditor for a Healthcare Organization, and Senior Manager for a Consulting Firm.

Mr. Stephan is a graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Financial Management. He received a Masters of Business Administration in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, Certified Internal Controls Auditor, Certified Risk Management Assurance, Certified Fiduciary Investment Risk Specialist and Accredited Investment Fiduciary.

Robin Farshadfar is General Manager at EastNets Americas, a leading global provider of compliance and payments solutions and services for financial institutions and corporates. Robin is responsible for the leadership, operations and management of EastNets expansion in the USA, Canada, and the Caribbean. With over 30 years of banking, treasury management and compliance oversight experience in the mainstream banking industry, she is well versed in US and international banking operations and regulatory environment as well as an extensive background in financial technology operations.

Robin has liaised with major banking corporations worldwide and several Fortune 500 corporate treasuries during her years of professional experience.

Previously, Robin was Global Industry Solutions Director at Infoglide Software Corporation, a key technology provider to The Department of Homeland Security and Financial Institutions. While there, she was responsible for providing domain expertise and strategy support for the worldwide financial services industry.

Robin is currently an Advisory Board Member for The Big Data Certificate program at Rutgers Professional Science Master’s Degree program.

Mary-Jo LaHood is an AML Advisory at MUFG Bank.

Prior to that she was a Senior Vice President in Citi’s Enterprise Compliance Risk Management. Leading Horizontal AML Risk Assessment Topics, streamlining process and contributing in the strategic planning and execution for projects in different Risk Assessments.

In her prior role, she was the Chief Compliance Officer at Xpress Money Services Inc. based in Princeton, NJ. Responsibilities included the implementation of the BSA/AML program in USA and Canada, development and execution of a compliance risk management program including regulatory compliance and licensing, OFAC Sanction Screening and being the supervisory user at FinCEN BSA E-Filing System.

Prior to Xpress Money, she held various positions at Credit Libanais Bank SAL., as Compliance Officer, Internal Auditor and Head of Department.

Mary-Jo had the opportunity to function in different countries in a variety of service environments: Banking, Consulting, Insurance and Diplomatic arenas. Her global experience gives her unique perspective, experience and practical skills which are essential in banking and financial institutions.

Chris Phillips is an anti-money laundering and sanctions compliance subject matter expert with over fifteen years of industry experience.  Most recently serving as the Director of AML Compliance for Valley Bank, he was responsible for implementation and oversight of the bank’s AML and sanctions compliance programs, including suspicious activity investigations and filings, enhanced due diligence reviews, OFAC alert reviews, cross border compliance, and the cannabis banking compliance program.

Chris received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Philosophy and Religion from Graceland University, and his master’s degrees in Asian Studies and in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University.  He is a Certified AML and Fraud Professional, Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, and Certified Financial Crimes Investigator.

April Humblias spent more than 30 years in the financial services industry, with extensive experience in regulatory compliance and risk management. She is a leader, expert, and advisor in Financial Crimes, worked her way up from core transaction monitoring, KYC reviews to business analysis and project management roles with extensive success in transforming compliance and operational risk frameworks for major global financial institutions.  She is commonly sought after as a trusted partner, advising on OCC order completion, and designing creative strategies to protect banks, assets, mitigate fines and risks.  Her style is results-oriented to lift federal regulatory CDOs and create sustainable BAU environments.  April has also been recognized for Women’s Leadership by Citi’s Black Heritage Network for exceptional contributions and speaks 4+ languages.

Alexandra Tarabour is a fraud specialist and cryptocurrency investigator with expertise spanning traditional investigations, digital forensics, and cybersecurity strategy. She is the founder of Friendly Fraud Fighter and previously served as COO of a deep-tech company focused on real-time digital evidence verification. Alexandra has led investigations within major insurance-fraud firms, driven revenue operations in cybersecurity, and now focuses on helping organizations understand how fraudsters think and how digital threats evolve. A Certified Fraud Examiner, Alexandra holds a Bachelor of Arts from Fairfield University and an MBA from Western Governors University. She also serves as Vice President of InfraGard NJ and Membership Chair for CSA NY.

Laura H. Goldzung, CAMS-Audit, CFE, CFCS, AMLCA, CPAML, CCRP, is President and CEO of AML Audit Services, LLC, a boutique consultancy specializing in independent testing of anti-money laundering compliance programs and serves as its principal examiner. Her expertise also comprises custom training and compliance consulting services, including the design and development of Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Fraud programs.

In a career spanning more than 35 years across multiple sectors of the financial services industry, Ms. Goldzung has worked in a variety of executive leadership roles. Since founding AMLAS, she has co-created sector-specific compliance officer certification programs, presents various AML/Fraud topics for industry-leading organizations, and has authored many articles on the subject of AML. Ms. Goldzung is a charter faculty member of the CAMS advanced audit certification (CAMS-Audit) and Pace University’s Certified Compliance & Regulatory Professional (CCRP) program. She is also a founding member of the ACAMS New Jersey Chapter, where she served as co-chair and continues to serve as an advisor to the Board.

Ms. Goldzung serves as a dispute resolution arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and contributes to various compliance, industry, and university education programs. She is active with the Association of Certified AML Specialists (ACAMS), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), Association of Certified Financial Crime Specialists (ACFCS), Association of International Bank Auditors & Compliance Professionals (AIBACP), National Society of Compliance Professionals (NSCP), and SIFMA Compliance & Legal Society (SIFMA C&L).
