In the recent study of a cybersecurity firm, the Philippines has the highest percentage (37 percent) of new e-wallet users for the past 12 months since October 2021. Amidst the rise in digital payment adoption is also the increase in criminal activities connected to online trade. The challenge now in the Philippines in this industry is how to identify illegal financial transactions as quickly as possible, and file suspicious transaction reports.
