Curley
Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) Curley currently serves as Division Chief, National Security Programs for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Headquarters (HQ), National Security Division. In this capacity he provides strategic oversight of the National Security Unit, Counter Threat Lead Development Unit, and the Human Rights Violators and War Crimes Unit. SSA Curley previously served as the Unit Chief of the Parole and Law Enforcement Programs Unit, responsible for overseeing, managing, and directing all U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) administered significant public benefit paroles for law enforcement purposes as well as other special benefit programs to include Witness Security Program, Pro-Forma Visa Program, S-Visa Program, and Deferred Action on behalf of ICE.
Prior to his HQ assignment, SSA Curley served as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge for the ICE Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) from 2018 to 2020 within the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Central region with oversight of three OPR Resident Agent in Charge offices located in El Paso, Denver, and Dallas while maintaining supervisory internal investigative oversight over ICE program offices within a vast geographic area that spans 12 states. SSA Curley also served as the Dual Hat Attaché to Honduras for DHS and ICE from 2016 to 2018 wherein he oversaw U.S. direct hire and Foreign Service National employees and served as the Secretary of Homeland Security’s representative to the Government of Honduras. During his previous tenure within NSD from 2013 to 2016, SSA Curley was assigned to the Strategic Coordination Section as an Acting Section Chief and National Program Manager responsible for overseeing strategic engagements with the Department of Defense in the Central and South America region.
SSA Curley began his career with the ICE Office of Investigations in 2007 and his field assignments include HSI Phoenix, HSI Casa Grande and HSI Tucson, Arizona. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Crime, Law, and Justice with a Legal Studies Emphasis from The Pennsylvania State University in 2004, and a Master of Legal Studies from American University’s Washington College of Law in 2022. SSA Curley has served in the U.S. Army reserve component since 1998 and completed three overseas deployments in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Joint Forge. SSA Curley is married and a proud father of two young children.
