Moyara Ruehsen, PhD, CAMS, CFCS is a Professor and the Director of the Financial Crime Management Program at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, CA. After receiving three graduate degrees from Johns Hopkins University, Professor Ruehsen spent a post-doc year at the University of California, Berkeley, to study international organized crime. For more than two decades she has been teaching courses on financial crime detection and prevention, and most recently cyber-enabled financial crime. She served for several years on the Editorial Advisory Board of Money Laundering Alert, and has published articles and book chapters on topics related to threat finance (terrorism financing and WMD proliferation financing). Professor Ruehsen conducts training domestically and overseas for the US government, the United Nations, and the private sector.
