Rivas
Ms. Rivas has practiced in the securities and/or banking industries since January of 1995 when she joined Bank of America (Former NationsBank) where she started in the commercial banking area and progressed in the business and compliance roles in numerous lines of business, including Corporate Compliance, Private Bank, International Private Bank, Wealth and Investment Management (WIM), and Asset Management Group. In 2004 Ms. Rivas became a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. From September of 2005 through April 2009, Ms. Rivas took a sabbatical while keeping up to date with industry developments and continued education requirements for her Anti-Money Laundering Specialist Certification. In May of 2009 Ms. Rivas launched Engaged AML Solutions Inc., and she was the sole owner and President of the consulting firm providing expertise in risk assessment, process implementation, regulatory exam/audit support, and training programs in the areas of Global Anti-Money Laundering and Regulatory Compliance to financial institutions, law firms, and other consulting firms. She concluded operations in 2019. In May of 2015, Ms. Rivas joined the Bci group of companies to serve as the Chief Compliance Officer of Bci Securities. In December 2015, Ms. Rivas became a Certified Regulatory Compliance Professional from the FINRA Institute at Wharton.
Ms. Rivas earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with specialization in Finance and Decision and Information Science from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and her Social Sciences Master’s Degree in Conflict Analysis & Resolution from Nova Southeastern University.
