Ring
Christine is a Partner in the Financial Crime Practice for Deloitte Canada, focusing on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions and brings over 20 years of regulatory experience, including vast experience in Financial Crime and Anti-Money Laundering compliance and risk management. Christine has advised both public and private sector clients on implementing a risk based approach, AML frameworks, operations, and regulatory standards and guidelines.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Christine was the Managing Director of the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institution’s (OSFI) Anti-Money Laundering and Compliance Division. Her team was responsible for assessing the anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist risk management functions of federally regulated financial institutions.
Christine has worked closely with the Department of Finance, the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC), law enforcement and other key domestic and international agencies on matters relating to money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions. Christine has appeared before two House of Commons Parliamentary Committees related to AML and Sanctions.
Christine was a member of the Canadian delegation to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and played a strong role in the 2016 FATF mutual evaluation of Canada.
Christine is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and holds the ACAMS designation.
