ACAMS New Jersey Chapter January 2026 Virtual Event: Human Trafficking Risks in New Jersey

janvier 28, 2026 / 12PM–1PM EST Online 1 Crédit ACAMS

Overview

New Jersey represents a uniquely complex human trafficking risk environment. Its dense transportation networks, major ports, proximity to large metropolitan areas, and concentration of high-risk labor and service industries create sustained opportunities for traffickers to exploit both people and the financial system.

Despite growing awareness, trafficking remains persistently under-detected within AML and financial crime frameworks. This session examines why, focusing on how trafficking activity actually manifests across payment channels, business fronts, and behavioral patterns relevant to New Jersey.

Using an intelligence-led, persona-based approach, the webinar moves beyond static red flags to show how context, behavior, and ecosystem-level insight improve detection and investigation. Designed for AML and financial crime professionals, the session highlights New Jersey-specific risk themes, common investigative challenges, and practical ways data and technology can support more effective outcomes.
