Carmen Pagán is an attorney with more than 23 years of diverse legal and regulatory compliance experience in the banking area. Carmen is currently Senior Vice President of FirstBank Puerto Rico responsible for the development and maintenance of a compliance strategy and structure to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the bank and all its subsidiaries in Puerto Rico, Florida and the Virgin Islands (US and British).
Prior to joining FirstBank, Carmen worked in other financial institutions in the legal and regulatory areas. Carmen earned a BBA in Business Administration and a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. Mrs. Pagán earned a Master in Law (LLM) in International and Common Law Studies from Georgetown Law Center in 1995.
Carmen has been the president of the Compliance Committee of the Puerto Rico Banking Association since 2007.
