Sam Rosenfeld is the Founder and Chairman of Verdigris Holdings, a company formed to build reliable, ultra-low-cost, transparent banking accessible for all. With over 63 million in the US unable to obtain a bank account or reliably bank because they aren’t profitable to regular banks, Mr. Rosenfeld and the team at Verdigris have been able to take significant costs out of the banking and identity process enabling Verdigris to offer banking through a blend of technology, deep understanding of the risk process and the planned delivery of a fully regulated and insured bank.
Concurrently with his role at Verdigris Holdings, Inc., since July 2006, Mr. Rosenfeld has served as Chairman of Densus Group, a management company that specializes in risk identification, management and counseling government and major corporate clients on high risk challenges, both geographical and operational.
Mr. Rosenfeld has an extensive background in business development, market identification and successful, profitable growth. Most recently he served as Partner at Gabriel Partners, LLC (including AML RightSource) from February 2013 to November 2015, helping lead a successful exit via sale to Clarion Capital Partners. He was previously Managing Director at Longevity Mortality Strategies from November 2008 to January 2011 and Managing Director at Carolus Capital Advisors from 2010 to 2011. He also served as an Officer in the British Army from September 1995 until March 2006 with multiple command postings and battlefield commendations.
Mr. Rosenfeld is a mentor and judge for Global and Presidential (final) rounds of the African Entrepreneurship Awards run by BCME/Bank of Africa. He has extensive experience as a professional services entrepreneur in risk management and social impact ventures worldwide, having served in various risk management roles, and has experience offering financial and risk analytics, intelligence, and regulatory advice to financial institutions, law practices, and corporations. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
