After serving four years conducting inspections in the Air Force, succeeded by inspections work at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, FL, Promise launched her financial career with Wells Fargo's internal audit department in 2008. Her responsibilities included leading the implementation of a comprehensive Management Information System in response to one of the Consent Order articles. She played a key role in the merger of Wachovia and Wells Fargo banks, steering the audit functions to ensure accuracy and quality control.
Promise joined UBS in 2015 to enhance her skillset by acting as U.S. Branch Controller with the responsibility of overseeing daily, monthly and quarterly financial analysis and reporting. Her knowledge spans US, Swiss and international accounting and financial reporting requirements, systems and regulatory standards, including SOX. In 2017 she then accepted an offer to join the Financial Crime Prevention unit at UBS to co-lead the development of their Quality Assurance program. Through collaboration with management of multiple business units including Monitoring Surveillance & Controls, Investigations, and Client Onboarding, she was a key contributor in establishing an efficient QA review program. She was tapped to spearhead a QA project in response to an MRIA issued for the risk mitigation of Periodic KYC Reviews.
Currently serving as the Quality Control & Assurance Manager at Mercari, her goal is to help strengthen the QC processes through implementation of efficient improvements and collaboration with the various workstreams.
A graduate of Park University, she holds a BS in Management/Accounting and an MBA in Finance. She is also CAMS certified since 2009.
