Jacqueline (Jackie) Sanjuas is a Managing Director within Citi’s Financial Crimes Compliance organization. She is the Bank Secrecy Act Officer and Anti-Money Laundering Chief Compliance Officer.
In this role, Jackie is responsible for ensuring enterprise-wide compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and global Anti-Money Laundering (AML) rules and regulations. She manages a global team of subject matter experts responsible for the design and implementation of a uniform AML enterprise-wide compliance risk-management framework, establishing governance and independent oversight mechanisms over key control processes. She is also responsible for providing advice and guidance on compliance and regulatory issues in the 100+ countries in which the Citi operates.
Jackie is also responsible for all AML Compliance tasks related to the end-to-end execution of Citi’s Know Your Customer (KYC), Transaction Monitoring, Global Financial Intelligence Unit, AML Risk Frameworks and Reporting programs. She has been with Citi for over 17 years, serving in various Risk Management and Compliance roles at country, regional and global levels.
Prior to joining Citi, Jackie was responsible for a variety of compliance related functions at Dresdner Bank (now Commerzbank AG) including Trade Support and Transaction Monitoring.
Jackie received a B.A. from Fordham University.
