Pioneering game-changing technology in registration of legal entities and arrangements, Natella Safar Ali assumed her role with Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) in September 2014. Leading commercial licensing division at the Registration Authority, her role also includes managing all aspects related to registration of legal entities and arrangements, licensing of all commercial businesses, and registration of charges.  Registration Authority is responsible for administration of the commercial rules and regulations currently in force in ADGM.

Natella spearheads the administration and operations of ADGM Registration Authority’s licensing division, including delivery of comprehensive digital services in the digital-by-default registry. In 2015, digital registry solution was launched to provide access and connection to ADGM Registration Authority’s digital registry solution, abolishing any time or geographical boundary which enabled lodging applications for registration of legal entities in ADGM from anywhere in the world.

Prior to ADGM Natella was integral to the post-launch development of the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) Registrar of Companies unit, where she was Assistant Registrar of Companies and subsequently was employed by leading international hotel company Jumeirah where she worked on a range of corporate, company secretarial and intellectual property matters, working directly with the Board of Directors and assisting the Company Secretary to the Board.

Natella holds a master degree in international comparative corporate and commercial law from SOAS, University of London; a MBA from the University of Leicester; a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Baku Academy of Arts, where she studied as a concert pianist; and holds Associate Member title with the Institute of Corporate Governance UK (formerly known as Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators ‘ICSA’).
