In Memoriam

October 1, 2013

It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Cameron "Kip" Holmes on Sunday after a courageous battle with cancer. Kip was the 2013 recipient of the ACAMS Leadership in Government Award for his career efforts in attacking money laundering through the use of federal and state asset forfeiture laws. In his recent role as Director of the Southwest Border Anti-Money Laundering Alliance, he was a staunch advocate of a comprehensive approach to money laundering activities along the border. As former FBI TFOS head Dennis Lormel has said, "He was one of the most dedicated, if not most dedicated law enforcement official I had the honor to work with or around." We will miss his clarity and commitment to what is right.
