Health and Safety Guidelines
ACAMS considers the health and safety of all those on-site at the 2022 ACAMS FinTech & Crypto Summit as our priority.
ACAMS is offering in-person attendance at the 2022 ACAMS FinTech & Crypto Summit in San Francisco, California in compliance with local government orders permitting such gatherings at this time. Under the guidelines and requirements from the CDC, the San Francisco Marriott Marquis, and the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH), all guests and conference attendees will be required to wear masks indoors, regardless of vaccination status, and to show proof of vaccination. All attendees and staff are expected to fully comply with applicable safety precautions, such as staying home if exhibiting signs of illness. Masks will be provided for anyone in need of one and sanitization stations will be available throughout the meeting space.
Effective August 20, 2021, the San Francisco Department of Public Health requires staff and attendees of indoor gatherings to be fully vaccinated (minimum of 2 weeks after the 2nd dose) with an FDA or WHO approved Covid-19 vaccine. Attendees will be asked to show a valid photo ID and proof of vaccination when checking into the conference. Acceptable proof of vaccination includes:
- Original, copy, or picture of your CDC vaccination card
- Documentation from a healthcare provider
- Personal digital COVID-19 vaccine record issued by the State of California or an approved private company
- a list of approved companies offering digital vaccine cards is available at https://www.sfdph.org/dph/alerts/files/vaccine-verification-sites.pdf
- Similar documentation issued by another state, local, or foreign governmental jurisdiction
The requirement for proof of vaccination may be subject to limited exemptions under state and federal law and do not apply to individuals who are ineligible for vaccinations. These cases will be handled on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you qualify for an exemption from the proof of vaccination requirement due to a religious or medical reason, please contact Mr. Shontae White (SWhite@acams.org) for more information and an Ascertainment and Declination Form. Individuals who are granted an exemption from the proof of vaccination requirement will still be required to wear a mask and follow all other health and safety requirements.
Individuals may be exempt from the vaccination requirements only upon providing the requesting Business a declination form, signed by the individual under penalty of perjury stating either of the following:
(1) the individual is declining vaccination based on Religious Beliefs or
a. a Business may seek additional information as allowed or required by applicable law to determine whether Personnel have a qualifying Religious Belief.
(2) the individual is excused from receiving any COVID-19 vaccine due to Qualifying Medical Reasons.
a. to be eligible for this exemption Personnel must also provide to the Business a written statement signed by aphysician, nurse practitioner, or other licensed medical professional practicing under the license of a physician stating that the individual qualifies for the exemption (but the statement should not describe the underlying medical condition or disability) and indicating the probable duration of the individual’s inability to receive the vaccine (or if the duration is unknown or permanent, so indicate).
A sample ascertainment and declination form is available online at https://www.sfdph.org/dph/covid19/files/declination.pdf
Personnel who qualify for and are granted an exemption due to Religious Beliefs or Qualifying Medical Reasons, as provided above, must still follow health and safety requirements (i.e. wear a mask). Nothing in this Order is intended to limit any Business’s ability under applicable law to determine whether they are able to offer a reasonable accommodation to Personnel with an approved exemption.
Currently the San Francisco Department of Public Health does not have any restrictions involving capacity limits or large gatherings. However, in the event that hospitalization rates rise, San Francisco County could re-instate capacity limits, which could impact the number of attendees permitted at the 2022 ACAMS FinTech Summit. If this were to occur, you would be notified as to the status of your registration. If state or local capacity restrictions require ACAMS to reduce the number of attendees at the 2022 ACAMS FinTech Summit, and youare unable to attend the event in person, you will be able to transfer your pass to the next in-person event. Refunds will not be available.
If you test positive for COVID-19 during or after the conference, please contact Judy Jurado (JJurado@acams.org). They will provide your information to the local health department to support any contact tracing efforts.
