The FATF Mutual Evaluation of India’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing regime, scheduled for this year, has been re-scheduled to January-February 2021 (tentative), in view of the Coronavirus pandemic. A joint working group of 22 prominent agencies, set up by the Indian government, will present to and discuss with the FATF experts during the review meetings. This session will discuss India’s preparedness for the FATF Mutual Evaluation from the perspective of the banks in India, and will discuss what the evaluation and outcomes would mean for financial services industry in India.
