Wendy C.
Woolcock
Ms. Wendy Woolcock is the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Special Operations Division (SOD), a premier multi-agency operational coordination, deconfliction and intelligence center comprised of 35 partner agencies, with approximately 450 employees. In this capacity, she devises and implements operational strategies to identify, investigate, and subsequently dismantle transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) by attacking their command and control communications networks, financial backbones, and infrastructure.
Prior to serving as the SAC of SOD, Ms. Woolcock was the SAC of the DEA Office of Training. In this role, she led a cadre of approximately 255 DEA and contract employees dedicated to building the foundation of the agency through core series accredited training programs. SAC Woolcock supported DEA’s mission to develop, deliver, and advocate preeminent law enforcement and non-law enforcement training to DEA personnel, as well as, federal, state, local, and international law enforcement counterparts. SAC Woolcock oversaw and strengthened the Basic, Specialized, and International Training Programs by recruiting a diversified team of qualified instructors and increasing workflow processes by acquiring funding to build a field training house, a tactical training facility, and an upgraded cafeteria, medical, and on-site retail store. All of these enhancements increased throughput, resulting in additional Special Agents, Intelligence Research Specialists, Diversion Investigators, and Chemists in the workforce to protect the community. Additionally, she oversaw the Firearms, Leadership Development, and Personal Recovery Programs for DEA.
Ms. Woolcock served as a Board Member on the DEA Board of Professional Conduct where she reviewed integrity and misconduct investigations to ensure compliance with DEA Standards of Conduct, and policies and procedures.
Previously, Ms. Woolcock was the Resident Agent in Charge of the Pensacola Resident Office where she directed all enforcement and administrative aspects of the office, and worked as a Special Agent in both the Miami and Dallas Field Divisions.
Ms. Woolcock is a current member of the SAC Advisory Committee, an advisory committee to the DEA Administrator; and the Co-Chair of the DEA Diversity Committee.
Ms. Woolcock graduated from Purdue University in 1993 with a degree in Organizational Communication and Spanish. Prior to her career with DEA, Ms. Woolcock was a Police Officer for the Dallas Police Department, where she served for approximately four years.
