Suzanne is currently Assistant Vice President, Compliance and Regulatory Risk Management for the Laurentian Bank financial group. She is a seasoned compliance practice leader with over 25 years of financial services experience, including more than 12 years in compliance. Her realizations include implementing and overseeing the AML due diligence and customer risk assessment frameworks at one of the big six banks, as well as supervising the correspondent banking, economic sanctions and anti-corruption programs. She participated in various compliance projects, such as the development of the bank-wide AML risk-based approach and of a new onboarding system for commercial customers. She is widely respected as a subject matter expert for complex international compliance issues, including trade-based money laundering.
Suzanne is a Chartered Professional Accountant, holds a Master Business Administration degree and has a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist designation.
