Al Mazrouei
Shamma Almazrouei is the International Relations Specialist and a member of the Communication and Strategic Partnerships department at the Executive Office of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing of the UAE.
The Executive Office of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing is the primary national coordinating body on AML/CFT efforts within the UAE and aims to enable and better equip the UAE in building a strong and sustainable AML/CFT framework. It is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the UAE’s National AML/CFT Strategy and Action Plan and has a wide-ranging mandate.
As International Relations Specialist, Shamma is responsible for building trust and advancing the Executive Office’s objectives with international governments, organisations and people. She oversees a programme that comprises international visits, MoUs and partnerships, research projects, and diplomatic exchanges.
Prior to joining the Executive Office, Shamma was the International Communication Executive at the United Arab Emirates University. In this role she was led the university’s efforts to enhance its international reputation by developing operational plans and Marcomms strategies.
Shamma has continued her professional development by completing numerous courses at the Anwar Gargesh Diplomatic Academy and the United Arab Emirates University. Most recent courses include Protocol and Diplomatic Etiquette, Professional Digital Marketing, and Communication and Intercultural Awareness.
