ACAMS Central Ohio Chapter February 2026 Virtual Event: Regulatory Enhancements in Motion: FinCEN, EOs, and Evolving AML expectations

Overview

This chapter event will explore how recent FinCEN updates, executive actions, and evolving federal policy are shaping AML/BSA expectations in 2025. The session will focus on what is truly new versus what regulators are reinforcing, with practical information around defensible, risk-based decisioning in customer risk assessments, SAR determination and documentation, and emerging risk areas.

The program will also address the impact of recent Executive Orders relevant to financial institutions, including the AML impacts from the Executive Order on Fair Access to Banking and federal developments related to marijuana policy.

Attendees will gain practical insight into how to align compliance programs with evolving regulatory signals while maintaining strong governance, documentation, and examiner-ready risk management practices.
