Welcome to the Central Ohio ACAMS Chapter! Our chapter was formed to service financial crimes prevention professionals in the Central Ohio and surrounding areas. Our Executive Board has representation from diverse cross section of financial industry professionals in the Central Ohio, Cincinnati, and surrounding areas.

Our goal is to provide education, networking and career development for ACAMS members in our service area. The Chapter provides support for its members and the community through networking people together from a vast array of relevant disciplines and experience. Our events will bring industry experts, members of the law enforcement community and academia to promote further development in our subject matter. These will also provide continuing education credit for those ACAMS members to maintain their CAMS designation. By joining and participating in the Chapter, you can keep your skills up to date in this ever changing environment.

  • Jenny Ward
    Jenny Ward of Park National Bank has been in banking for 24 years. She is the current VP and BSA Officer at Park National Bank since 2011. Prior to that, Jenny was in Internal Audit for 12 years where she conducted BSA audits. She is also CAMS certified as of 2016.
  • Colin Marnach
    Colin Marnach is the Corporate Investigative Risk Specialist, in the Midwest, for Thomson Reuters CLEAR. Colin works with institutions across multiple industries helping them better understand risk profiling as it relates to corporate due diligence. For the past three years, Colin has worked to educate financial institutions in areas of fraud, KYC, AML monitoring and identity theft. He prides himself on selling tools that truly make America’s financial system safer for all consumers.
  • Drew Larson
    Drew Larson has been with Thomson Reuters since 2001 and has spent the past seven years running the Midwest Regions of the Government and Corporate Investigative Channel. He has worked closely with state and local government entitles, state and local law enforcement and most recently as manager to the entire Midwest CLEAR Corporate team; specializing in investigative solutions for financial institutions.

Writing Stellar SAR’s: A Panel Discussion and Q&A. Producing clear, complete and concise Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR’s) is one of the most important responsibilities of a BSA/AML professional. It can also be one of the most challenging tasks as well.

    Bill Cloninger is a Senior Investigator in KeyBank’s AML Special Investigation Unit. This “second career” follows over 30 years of wide ranging banking managerial experience with Wells Fargo Bank, Crocker National Bank, Western States Bankcard Association and Bracton Corporation, a merchant banking and private equity firm owned by the UK clearing bank, Midland Bank plc. Bill is a Co-Chairman of the ACAMS Northern Ohio Chapter, recently named ACAMS “2017 Chapter of the Year”. ACAMS also honored Bill in 2016 by naming him the “ACAMS Professional of the Month” for April 2016.

Anna Cunningham

Anna Cunningham is a Vice President of Enterprise Financial Crimes Compliance at U.S. Bank, where she manages the Emerging Risks and Typology development team whose primary purpose is to coordinate with federal law enforcement on emerging threats in money laundering and terrorist financing.

In that capacity, her team employs the use of big data typology development to identify human trafficking, terrorist financing, informal value transfer networks, and other money laundering schemes. Anna has also developed a proven big data typology for identification that has been used nationally, including at Super Bowls and other local, regional and national events.

William Schlameuss

William Schlameuss has over 20 years’ experience in regulatory compliance, including BSA/AML/OFAC for a wide range of US Branches of major Foreign Banking Organizations, both as Chief Compliance Officer and Compliance Consultant. He also has experience in IT as a manager and implementer of core banking and payment systems, as well as, compliancerelated systems. In addition, Mr. Schlameuss has extensive experience with State and Federal Banking regulators in examination preparation, assistance and response, which includes supporting the remediation of written agreements for clients.

Throughout his career, he served as the Committee Chair of the Risk Committee for a major international bank. William has also led BSA/AML audits, BSA/OFAC Model Validations, remediation efforts of BSA Audit issues and BSA/OFAC look-backs for international banks; both self-imposed and directed by regulatory authorities. As a project manager, he has assisted with Model Validations including Prime, FCRM, Patriot Officer, Actimize, and eGIFTS.

With his extensive knowledge in all aspects of BSA/AML/OFAC, which includes presentations to overseas Head Office staff, he has also conducted training sessions regarding Security and Code of Conduct/Ethics. Additionally, he has vast experience in writing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.

William has conducted the Annual 3130 Supervisory Reviews for Broker-Dealers of the US Branches of major FBOs. He is a member of the Association of International Bank Auditors and the International Bank Regulatory Compliance Committee. William earned his bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance from Hofstra University and an MBA in Operations Research from New York University Stern School of Management.

Michael J. Ferrara, JD

Michael is a former federal prosecutor and experienced trial and appellate lawyer who focuses his practice on white collar criminal defense, internal investigations and False Claims Act litigation as a partner with Dinsmore and Shohl, LLP.

Prior to joining Dinsmore, he spent a decade as an assistant U.S. attorney in Chicago, where he served as the deputy chief of the narcotics section and lead attorney of a strike force which targeted organized crime for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois.

In these roles, Michael handled and oversaw complex fraud matters and managed the office’s international money laundering and cartel prosecutions, leading teams of lawyers and investigators in years-long investigations of multi-billion dollar criminal enterprises. In his time as a federal prosecutor, Michael oversaw the investigation and prosecution of a cyber-fraud organization which defrauded more than one million victims of over $100 million, criminal fraud matters related to parallel False Claims Act proceedings, and the prosecution of the leadership structure of the Sinaloa Cartel. He built his reputation as a respected, hands-on investigator by working with a wide variety of federal, state and foreign investigative and regulatory authorities.

Jennifer Lloyd

Jennifer is the Director of Statewide Outreach on Substance for Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine. She leads a team tasked with providing community outreach to address the opioid epidemic across the State of Ohio. Jennifer also assists communities with developing and implementing strategic plans, including grant assistance, programming and training. Jennifer recently received the Attorney General’s Pride Award for recognition of her efforts to combat the opioid epidemic.

Roseanna Ridgway

Roseanna is a Compliance Specialist with Alliance Data Systems prior to her position at Alliance Data she was with Nationwide’s BSA Compliance group. She has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, 13 years of this specifically with BSA. Her BSA experience includes conducting BSA risk assessments, development and delivery of training, conducting investigations, reporting metrics and implementations of interdiction software for both AML and OFAC. She has had her CAMS designation since 2007 and has spoken at several conferences including ACAMS.

Pamela has been with BMI Federal Credit Union since 2015 and was promoted to the role of Compliance Coordinator in May 2017. She received her CAMS certification in June 2015.

She previously worked at Abu Dhabi Commercial bank, Charter One and Barclays bank of New York. In addition to compliance and risk management, she has broad experience in retail banking, customer sales and service and trade finance. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and lives in Dublin, Ohio.

Mike McKiernan

Mike McKiernan has 20+ years of experience in the financial services industry and has spent the past 15 years as the Head of Financial Crimes Intelligence for Fifth Third Bank. Prior to that, he worked as a pension actuary for Fidelity Investments and Willis Towers Watson. Today, he manages the unit responsible for the systemic identification of potentially suspicious activity including the management of AML surveillance and support applications. He also oversees the unit responsible for the Bank’s AML system calibration efforts as well as the AML operational and management reporting functions. He received his Bachelors of Science Degree from Bryant University majoring in Actuarial Science, and received his MBA, with honors, from Clark University majoring in Finance. He is also a Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).

Jennifer Morrison is VP, Senior Risk Manager for Corporate One Federal Credit Union and has worked in the finance industry for more than 30 years. Corporate One Federal Credit Union functions is a wholesale financial institution with over $6 billion in assets under management. Jenny is responsible for Corporate One’s second line of defense related to BSA/AML and OFAC compliance and Jenny is responsible for all credit risk-related functions specifically related to investments and lending. Jenny started her career in indirect lending, and during her career, she been a Corporate Treasurer, handled store support and inventory management for a global retailer, and worked in M&A for a large regional financial institution. Jenny is CAMS, CAMS-Audit and CTP certified. Jenny’s undergraduate and MBA are both from The Ohio State University.

Tara Griffith, Manager of Wire Services at Corporate One Federal Credit Union has worked in the financial industry for over 25 years. Tara leads the Wire Transfer team at Corporate One, which is responsible for domestic and international payments. Her area is responsible for the day-to-day OFAC screening and sanctions.

She has extensive knowledge in domestic and international wire regulations, including over 25 years of experience in BSA/AML/OFAC, FATF and FinCEN. She received certification from the School of Bank Compliance in 2005.

Kristina Davis

Kristina has over 12 years’ experience in the financial industry with a well-versed background in various areas including OFAC sanctions and regulations. She also has extensive experience in Fraud prevention and investigations, check fraud, debit card fraud, credit card fraud and wire fraud. Currently Kristina is the BSA/AML Investigator at Corporate One Federal Credit Union where she is Responsible for the day-to-day compliance efforts related to Corporate One’s BSA/AML/OFAC Program.

Prior to her role as BSA/AML investigator, she held the role of OFAC Analyst at Corporate One Federal Credit Union where she monitored transactions, testing and OFAC compliance on behalf of Corporate One by ensuring transactions comply with OFAC regulations. Kristina received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Kent State University in 2010. She received her CAMS designation in December 2017.


Brian Mannion

Brian is Managing Counsel within the Office of Privacy, Technology, Information, and Contract Services (OPTICS). He has been with Nationwide since 1999 and practices in the areas of anti-money laundering, OFAC, FCPA, privacy, and information technology. Since 2001 he has been the primary lawyer responsible for Nationwide’s anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) efforts for its broker/dealers, bank, mutual funds, mortgage company, and life insurance companies. Additionally, he leads a team of lawyers and compliance professionals to assist with the development and implementation of Nationwide’s new technologies such as Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), Microsoft Exchange in the cloud migration, cloud and social networking tools. Finally, Brian leads the privacy data event team. Prior to joining Nationwide, Brian was the Bank Secrecy Act Officer for a mid-western regional bank for four years. Brian has spoken at numerus AML and OFAC conferences including ACAMS conferences and webinars.

Brian is a graduate of the Capital University School of Law and received his B.A. from Miami University.

Tim Steinbrunner

Tim Steinbrunner has spent the last 15 years in BSA Compliance. Tim spent 12 years at JPMorgan Chase as part of their Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) and managing AML Investigation teams, both domestic and international. At Alliance Data, Tim oversees the BSA program which includes transaction monitoring and all SAR filings. Tim is also responsible for the OFAC sanction screening program. He has been a presenter at the Southwest Border AML Conference as well as presented to multiple law enforcement agencies and an Underground Economics class at The Ohio State University on the topics of money laundering and terrorist financing. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Bowling Green State University.

Kerri is the Director of Financial Crimes Compliance at Nationwide Insurance, responsible for the AML and anti-fraud efforts for 4 life insurance companies, 3 broker-dealers, the mutual funds group, the retirement plans group and the mortgage company.  Prior to her 7 combined years at Nationwide, she was a Senior Regulatory Risk Consultant with Crowe Horwath LLP. Kerri holds two Bachelor’s Degrees in Accounting and Business Administration. Additionally, she has her CAMS and CFE designations.


Dana Ingle

Dana Ingle has worked in combination of Fraud or AML for the last 15 years. He recently joined Wells Fargo in March 2019 and is currently on the Financial Crimes Control team. Some of Dana’s responsibilities at Wells Fargo include working as a part of the External Fraud Control team and managing the Anti Bribery and Corruption processes.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Dana worked as the AML Investigations Manager for USBank where he was responsible for the Columbus, Ohio AML Investigation teams. In addition to managing the incoming case workload, he was responsible for creating and managing the Lookback Team. Dana was influential in this process which began in 2016 and involved the hiring and training of the new investigators while developing the processes needed to meet the timelines set for the completion of the work. Dana also has experience as the Payment Services AML FIU Manager for Discover Financial Services. In this role he was responsible for developing the AML investigative process for the Payment Services Organization.

Dana brings a lot of experience working across several banks which often includes being in the role of building out new teams or new programs. He has years of experience in building programs from the ground up and working to develop effective training programs to support AML/BSA activities.

Jon is the BSA Manager for Kemba Credit Union. He currently is responsible for compliance, BSA and fraud functions for the credit union. He has spent the last 10 years as Compliance Officer overseeing Kemba’s BSA Program and OFAC Program. He received his CAMS certification in 2016 and has maintained Bank Secrecy Act Certified Specialist (BSACS) and Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) designations since 2010. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati.
