Krista Shonk
Krista joined America's Community Bankers (ACB) in July 2001 and serves as Senior Regulatory Counsel. At ACB, she monitors anti-money laundering and consumer protection requirements, as well as other compliance matters. Krista is a member of FinCEN's Bank Secrecy Act Advisory Group and serves as the staff liaison to ACB’s Regulation and Compliance Committee. She is also admitted to the Virginia Bar and participates on the Banking Law Committee of the American Bar Association.
Elizabeth Slim, CAMS
Elizabeth has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She is the First Vice President and Bank Secrecy Act Officer for Community Bank, an institution with more than a dozen banking centers with assets totally over $2.1 billion. At the bank she developed a centralized BSA function and established enhanced and refined procedures for the bank’s BSA program. Elizabeth is also responsible for monitoring training for bank personnel. In addition, she provides monthly reports to the bank’s Audit Committee where she presents SARs filed by the bank and addresses other BSA related issues.
