Congratulations on taking that first step to enhancing your career increasing your earning power and validating your AML expertise.

It will take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete the application in the Candidate Handbook. Before you begin your application, it may be helpful to take a few minutes to gather the following (if applicable):

Check   Your resume or CV
Check   Proof of education level
Check   Proof of professional certifications – ie. CPA, CPP, CRCM, CPE, etc.
Check   Proof of continuing education courses – ie. Certificates or statements of attendance
Check   Three professional references

Additional information.
In order to sit for the CAMS Exam, one must meet the eligibility requirements and complete the CAMS Examination application. Eligibility to sit for the exam requires a minimum scoring based upon a combination of education and experience adding up to 40 credits. The application and supporting documentation must be submitted to the Certification Department with the application fee before the candidate is able to schedule the exam.

Once a candidate passes the exam and is cleared through our background check, he or she earns the title "Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist ®," or CAMS. To maintain the CAMS designation, the individual must conform to a program of earned credits through continuing professional education (recertification). In order to receive the CAMS certificate and to use and display the CAMS credential, the individual must maintain an active membership with ACAMS. To inquire about membership status or to obtain a membership, please email us at info@acams.org
